This Gender, Media and Society research group’s aim is to discuss and understand gender equality in a number of different settings, whether virtual or physical. Intended as a consortium of researchers and policy-makers across a variety of fields, such as, human rights, media, culture, migration and gender, this programme brings together scholars from across different fields to offer perspectives on how to improve gender equality across the world.
As such, the group organises roundtable discussions, seminars, workshops and international conferences on a number of public policy topics concerning both local and international issues. The Gender, Media and Society research group aims to publish the proceedings for each major event. These proceedings will also be made accessible to stakeholders and the public at large.
